• Eastlake Ave road project: For the website with more information about Mayor Durkan’s / SDOT’s proposal to repave Eastlake Avenue with added bike lanes and the pursuit of a new “Rapid Ride” Bus line from Roosevelt through Eastlake to South Lake Union (to be called the “J” line), CLICK HERE. • To fill out a form to comment officially on the J Line proposal, CLICK HERE. Everyone I’ve connected with seems to be excited about the prospects of more frequent bus service. The aspect of the project that seems to have generated the most discussion is SDOT’s proposal to install protected bike lanes on the Eastlake Avenue arterial. According to SDOT, ” both a one-way and two-way protected bike lane on Eastlake Ave E require removing all the parking on Eastlake Ave E.“
